The Tyco Fire Hazard Protection Roadshows this month!

The UK will be the dominant player in the European data center market by 2020, according to a new report from the Tariff Consultancy Ltd (TCL). The report also predicts that data center space and power in Europe will increase by almost 20% between 2015 and 2020.

Data Center facilities in the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands already account for half of all space in Europe - with six to seven providers accounting for half of power and space in France, Germany and the UK.

In preparation for this growth, specialists at Tyco Fire Protection Products have developed a bespoke training session focused on providing you and your contacts with all of the expertise required to help data center operators make the most effective decision for managing fire risk in data centers.

Hosted in the new Fire Hazard and Protection Roadshow Truck, these sessions will be starting March and continuing around the UK and Europe throughout the remainder of the year. Showcasing all the latest innovations in fire suppression and detection technology the truck will have a range of demonstrations focused on fire detection and suppression solutions for data centers.

Inside the truck we will be demonstrating our Gaseous Suppression solutions:

  • Inert iFLOW Fire Suppression

  • SAPPHIRE Novec demonstration kit

  • NEW! Acoustic Nozzle sound output and calculation tool.

We are also offering CPD certification for individuals attending the sessions relating to issues in Data Centres caused by noise emanating from the discharge of inert gas fire extinguishing systems. The training will educate attendees on noise behaviour and its impact on computer hard drives, compiled with input from consultants and designers in the industry on how we have developed a solution to reduce sound pressure on release of a gas suppression system. Experts from Tyco will be sharing presentations and guidance on the key considerations when designing a Fire Protection System for a Data Center.

Each session will be focused on:

  • Educating visitors on the various fire risks in a data center environment

  • What is the best Fire Protection to protect a data center

  • The impact on reduced down time in the event of a fire

  • Provide people with the knowledge they need to make an informed decision on the most suitable Fire Protection

The sessions promise to be informative and educational with lots of opportunity to ask questions and learn how our technologies work.
